The library/media center at Coles Ferry Elementary is under the supervision of our full-time librarian, Vicki Hines. The library is open from 7:30 to 2:45 each day and serves as the center of information technologies.  There is an extensive print collection which supports the academic needs of students and faculty.  Personal laptops or one of the six student computers may be used to log on to our wireless networks.  There is a story area, a group instruction area, and a resource room which houses a large collection of periodicals, book sets, and digital resources for classroom use.  Mrs. Hines is dedicated to making students successful in their pursuit of information and preparing them for life-long learning.

 

The library has a large collection of books with Accelerated Reader Tests. Our collection includes books from 0.0 to 9.0 AR levels to best serve all students’ needs. Mrs. Hines offers several incentive programs  to encourage reading and writing on all levels.
