ING Kids Rock Nashville Marathon

Information will be coming home with your child after fall break.  Almost 50 Coles Ferry students participated last year.  The students had a great time.  If you do register your child online, please make sure to sign them up under the team “Coles Ferry Elementary Cougars.”

Kids can be part of the Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon excitement by participating in the 11th annual ING KiDS ROCK Nashville.  ING KiDS ROCK, is a non-timed, non-competitive event for children in grades K – 7! Students can become marathon finishers on race day by completing a cumulative marathon training program in the weeks leading up to the race.  Students can complete the 25.2 miles with a group or on their own prior to race day when they will ROCK it with the Nashville community.

Presidential Physical Fitness Test

C.F.E. 2nd-5th grade physical education classes did a great job on the 1 mile run last week.  I was so proud of them and the effort they put forth.

1st grade classes are also progressing with basketball fundamentals.  They have been working on dribbling correctly and the bounce and chest pass.
