Sight word clubsSight Word Clubs – Your child may join a sight word club as they begin to read high frequency words. You may want to make flash cards to help practice or make a pair to play a memory game. These are the words that your child will be expected to read going into first grade. For example your child will need to be able to read words in club 1 and 2 before joining club 3.
List 1- red, blue, yellow, green, orange, purple,black, brown, pink, white, gray.
List 2 – one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
List 3 – a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, we, for, funny.
List 4 – go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, up, look.
List 5- make, me, my, not, play, run, said, see, the, to, where, you
SUPER STAR CLUB – eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty, twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four, twenty five.
